RUMOR: Patriots, Vikings near trade for Randy Moss

ALERT

According to a leaked Twitter message from ESPN's Bill Simmons, the New England Patriots are in talks with the Minnesota Vikings to send WR Randy Moss back to the Twin Cities. Moss left the Vikings in an infamous 2005 trade to Oakland which netted the Vikings the 7th (which became WR bust Troy Williamson) and 219th (CB Adrian Ward) picks in the 2005 Draft, along with LB Napoleon Harris.

Links will be up soon. Feel free to speculate in the comments section. (Ed: I'm thinking the Pats pull a front seven starter and a top 70 draft pick in April.)

Galarraga, Griffey and Garnett

It was a pretty big day in Baseball yesterday. An umpire admitted he was wrong and cost Galarraga a perfect game and one of the greatest players of my time retired.

Ken Griffey Jr. retired from the game of baseball. I didn't think that would happen, ever, I thought at some point he'd just sort of fade out and get traded around for a while with an occasional story that would read something like "Griffey qualified for Social Security and hit his 723rd home run on the same day."

The Red Sox have been doing pretty well this week which is nice. It seems like when I'm too busy to watch the games they win and when I plan to watch them they disappoint. I guess I'll have to stick to Basketball for the next week or two and let the Sox get ahead. Ortiz hit a nice two run shot last night in their 6-4 win over the A's.

Tonight is the night that the Celtics take on the Lakers in game 1 of the NBA Finals! Hopefully they can steal a game or two in LA. Kobe Bryant is going to be the challenge tonight but hopefully they can contain him. I'd say stop him but honestly there is no stopping anyone that plays at that level.

Celtics! Lakers.

I feel like we've done this before. If you aren't prepared for it here is how it's going to go. It will no doubt be too close right til the end of the series. You will find yourself fighting with people you've known for years because somehow the fact that they wear purple and gold has somehow gone unnoticed. You will most definitely call Kobe some horrible name in the middle of some other conversation. I was watching one of these games a couple of years ago over a date's shoulder and then screamed obscenities right into her face she was confused for about 4 seconds until everyone else caught up. There will no doubt be some sort of crazy bar fight or riot depending how crazy the refs decide to be. Random facebook friends will post that insufferable heart and then the LA symbol which I am not posting because you'll know it when you see it! Twitter will blow your phone away during the games. Every bar with a TV and a window will have people doing weird maneuvers in front of it trying to catch the score. I'd say The Greatest Bar is probably the the Place to watch these games.

Celtics Losing Their Magic!?

So In my last post the Celtics were looking at a possible sweep. So I find it hard to stomach that now it could go either way. We are still up by a game but the Orlando Magic definitely has momentum on their side.

Perkins fouled out early last night on a questionable call by the ref. This did not help us but hopefully they'll be recharged when they come home and play at the Garden in front of the best fans in all of sports.

Sweep fo the Celtics!?

It is looking good for the Celtics if they keep playing like this there will be no stopping them!

I'll be at the Sox game tonight if you need me!

Celtics snuff out Magic on the road in Game 1

So the Celtics didn't disappoint like the Sox and the Bruins in the past couple of days. Hopefully they can keep it up. I am pretty sure if the Celtics can take this series over Orlando. They'll probably continue on to win their second Championship in three years. As a fan I'm psyched about that and hopefully it will help me forget about the "Historic Fall of the Bruins"

The Sox just don't seem to have the magic they used to. They have fallen below .500 and honestly it's too soon to know what will happen. I'll be at the game tomorrow night so hopefully they can show up for that one.

The Boston Cannons LAX team is sitting at .500 right now and hopefully they'll pick it up. If you missed their opener on Saturday it will be on Comcast Sportsnet Wednesday night at 8pm.

The Bruins Press Conference is streaming Live right now.

Magic! We'll see about that

Hopefully the Celtics can Keep up their Playoff Magic and knock Orlando out of contention. I wish whomever decided when to schedule games worried about the ratings a little less and the weather a little more. It is gorgeous out on this lovely Sunday afternoon in Boston which is why this is such a short post. If you want to read up on the match-up Click the title link. Going to hit a bucket!
